MIT TEPCO Professor of Atmospheric Science Ron Prinn pens an op-ed for The Hill laying out our current climate risks and how the U.S. is performing with respect to its climate targets. He points out that a move toward net-zero emissions will "come with major new local-to-global 'transition' risks and accompanying challenges that must be met." MIT's new 2021 Global Change Outlook "provides probabilistic climate and socio-economic projections obtained using updated probability distributions for key parameters in both the human- and Earth-system components of our Integrated Global System Modeling (IGSM) framework."
