Course 12.713 "Numerical Ocean Modeling" is a new hands-on course for developing computational models of oceanic processes such as transport (advection, diffusion), mixing and reaction (ecosystems) that will progress toward understanding the working of GCMs.
The course will be project based and will evolve from constructing simple to more complex models of time-evolving systems in one, two and three dimensions.
