Chung Pui (Harriet) Lau is visiting from UK.Originally from Manchester in the UK, Harriet is currently studying for a Masters degree in Geophysics at Imperial College London. During her visit she will be working with David Ferreira, John Marshall and Sara Seager focussing on how a planet being tidally-locked (i.e. face-locked) to its Sun affects its atmosphere and ocean circulation. Rohit Goyal is visiting from IndiaOriginally from "the beautiful, historic city" of Lucknow, India, Rohit is an undergraduate student doing a Bachelors in Environmental Engineering at the Indian School of Mines.  Rohit is working with Paola Rizzoli analysing numerical simulations of the circulation of the South China Sea with the goal of evaluating the volume and heat transports through the major straits connecting the South China Sea to the Pacific Ocean and to the Indonesian through-flow. Besides acting and competitive swimming Rohit is passionate about cricket. In addition to her scientific interests, Harriet is a pretty serious pianist - studying at the Royal College of Music. Do stop by each of their offices and say hello.
