The Mercury Game is a negotiation simulation developed by Professors Larry Susskind (DUSP), Noelle Selin (PAOC and ESD), and doctoral candidate Leah Stokes (DUSP) to teach people about the role of science in international environmental policy making. It was officially launched on July 24th at a demonstration in Halifax, Canada, as part of the International Conference of Mercury as a Global Pollutant. Over the coming months and years, the game will be played in a variety of contexts, in classrooms, government offices and at scientific conferences. The game is freely available for download at http://mit.edu/mercurygame.
