It has been announced that the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has awarded Sara Seager, the Ellen Swallow Richards Professor of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, the distinction of Fellow. Seager's award comes in recognition of her pioneering work on theoretical models of the atmospheric composition and internal structure of extrasolar planets, from super-Earths to gas-giant planets. Presentations will be made to new Fellows on Sunday, Feb. 19, at the association’s annual meeting in Washington.
