Linda Elkins-Tanton '87, SM '87, PhD '2002 elected to the National Academy of Sciences

Congratulations to EAPS alum and former assistant professor Linda Elkins-Tanton '87, SM '87, PhD '2002 for her recent election to the National Academy of Sciences, alongside several other MIT professors and other respected scientists. She is currently the Managing Director and Co-Chair of the Interplanetary Initiative at Arizona State University, as well as a PI on the NASA Psyche mission. Her research includes the evolution of terrestrial planets and planetesimals, Magma ocean stages of terrestrial planet formation, the relationships between Earth and its life, and drip magnetism.
