Grad Students Chavas and Criscitiello awarded DOE Graduate Fellowships

PAOC's Dan Chavas and Alison Criscitiello were among 15 MIT students (150 students nationwide) awarded the Department of Energy's new Science Graduate Fellowships.

Dan Chavas as work in his office at MITChavas (Atmospheric Science) is currently researching the size distribution of Atlantic tropical cyclones. His advisor is Kerry Emanuel.

Based at Woods Hole, her advisor is Dr. Sarah Das.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fellows receive $50K per year for up to 3 years to support tuition, living expenses, research materials and travel to research conferences or to DOE scientific user facilities.
