Scientists estimate that there may be over 100 billion planets in the Milky Way Galaxy. To date, 763 planets outside our Solar System have been identified. Seager, a planetary scientist and astrophysicist, is one of the leaders of the hunt for new planets that demonstrate evidence of life.
