Evolution of Motivations for Climate Action

Ten years ago, Al Gore released the film “An Inconvenient Truth”, depicting provocative images of suspected symptoms of climate change captured by researchers. This act helped catalyze action on climate in the forms of better and increased discussion, action and policy. Kerry Emanuel, professor of atmospheric science with MIT’s Program in Atmospheres, Oceans and Climate weighs in on how some motivations for climate action have evolved since the film premiered.
