Last Thursday Abigail Noble (MIT/WHOI JP) defended her thesis "Influences on the oceanic biogeochemical cycling of the hybrid-type metals: Cobalt, iron and manganese". Her advisor was Mak Saito at WHOI. After working as a postdoc. for Mak for ~ 2-3 months finishing up some projects later this fall, she will be moving up to Cambridge to start a postdoc. with Ed Boyle in January, looking at lead concentrations and lead isotopes in the North Atlantic.
