Bio and Interests
I am a PhD candidate in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program in Oceanography.
My research focuses on the physical processes of magma generation within the mantle, storage within the crust, and eruption on the surface. While at WHOI, I have been involved in field and laboratory studies of volcanic processes at Axial Seamount, Havre Volcano, the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, and the Galápagos Platform. My research has also enabled me to collaborate in science outreach with the BBC, Atlantic Productions, and several blogs.
