I am studying air-sea interactions in tropical cyclones. Specifically, I am working with Steve Jayne at WHOI to collect temperature-depth data for the ocean beneath tropical cyclones on missions with the hurricane hunters, and working with a basic ocean model that simulates hurricane passage to get a better understanding of how the theoretical and actual ocean responses differ, and why.
