The Human Side of Science
A post-show conversation with Dr. Carl Gladish
Friday Feb 27 & Sunday March 8th, 8 PM
Chelsea Theatre Works

Nicolas Billon's play takes the real-life discovery of the Warming Island off the coast of Greenland and uses it as a metaphor for the discovery of rifts and fault lines in a family.

Join us following select performances of GREENLAND for a conversation about the "human side" of science with Carl Gladish of MIT's Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences (EAPS).

Gladish's research is interdisciplinary and is concerned with the question of global mean sea-level changes arising from the melting of Earth's ice sheets on Greenland and Antarctica. His contribution to the field includes a combination of oceanic, meteorological and glaciological observations, physical theory-building, and computer model development.
