8:45 AM ~ Graduate student will escort group to MIT Building 54, Ida Green Room (MIT, Room 54-915)
9:00 AM ~ Breakfast for prospective students, current students and faculty
9:30 AM ~ Introduction and welcome to the Department – Tim Grove
9:45 AM ~ Some facts about the EAPS Graduate Programs – Paul O’Gorman
10:00 AM ~ Introduction to the MIT/WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography and Applied Ocean Science and Engineering and some facts about the Joint Program – Ed Boyle, Director of the MIT-WHOI Joint Program and Meg Tivey, Associate Dean, WHOI
10:20 AM ~ BREAK
10:30 PM ~ Tour of MIT Campus – [JP grad student] and [EAPS grad student]
11:30 AM ~ MIT Housing – Jennifer Hapgood-White, Assoc. Director, Housing Assignments
12:00 PM ~ Lunch for prospective and current students
1:00 PM ~ Lab Tours
3:30 PM ~ Prospective students have their own schedule of group meetings, individual appointments, etc.
