Bazaar of Ideas: Preparing the World for Climate Change

Please join us as Terrascope students display and explain appropriate-technology designs for adapting to the impacts of a changing climate, including:

--A drone-based heat-detecting camera system, for early detection of wildfires.
--A net-based system to harvest water from fog in coastal deserts.
--A cooling, shaded bus shelter, to encourage transit use during heat waves.
--A bicycle-powered plastic-shredder, to help garbage-pickers reduce mounds of garbage that can become hazardous during storms.
--An enhanced filtration system to make rooftop rainwater collection more efficient in central Colombia

Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served!

Directions to Lobby 13: From the Big Dome/Lobby 10, walk away from Killian Court toward the elevators. Walk down the hallway between the two elevators toward the back of the building. Lobby 13 is at the end of the hallway!
